OUR ECO EFFORTS

We want the world to be a better place- and it starts with us. As a small local business, we believe we can play a part and this is how we do it:

#1 Eco-friendly packaging

We endeavour to use natural and recycled materials, choosing cotton and jute over synthetics. Our packaging is made from compostable cardboard and eco-kraft paper which is an unbleached recycled paper. The cardboard product box has a dual function as both a mailing and carrier box, reducing the need for additional carrier bags. The product box can be reused in our Return and Reuse program to protect your bottle and earmark it as yours.

#2 Return and Reuse

We offer a Return and Reuse program. Simply bring your empty Soleus bottle with its original cardboard box to our stockist Nila Aromatherapy for drop off. If you would like a refill:

Step 1: cart out the refill option in our online store

Step 2: indicate your name and details on the return note included with your box and bottle upon purchase, otherwise the return note will be available at our stockist Nila Aromatherapy

Step 3: drop the box with this note and bottle at Nila Aromatherapy

Voila! We will send you the refilled bottle reusing its original box within six business days from the date of drop off.

#3 Working with local businesses in Singapore

This reduces our carbon footprint without having items shipped from overseas that usually come with elaborate packing material. Currently, our major suppliers are all local Singaporean companies with a brick and mortar presence, and represent a major part of our sourcing. We partner with local sustainability and zero waste efforts when we can and Soleus is is proud to be part of the Zero Waste Packaging Initiative which is a ground-up movement started to encourage businesses to adopt a circular packaging system, provide support and recognise businesses who reduce their waste through those means. 

#4 Environmentally friendly lifestyle

To encourage and raise awareness for an environmentally friendly lifestyle, we offer a carefully curated range of eco-friendly reusable tote bags for everyday life made of cotton and jute, and a reusable bamboo cutlery set as part of our sustainability initiative and efforts- all of these sourced from our local supplier.
